This Privacy Policy describes how Kime Technologies LLC, operating as Kimelogic ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information in connection with the mobile and web game TileBlitz ("the App"). We take your privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary to operate the game.
1. Information We Collect
Stored locally on your device only (never sent to our servers):
- Your level progress, star ratings, and best scores
- Your in-game powerup inventory (Breaker, Undo, Double) and coin balance
- Audio and haptic feedback preferences
- A flag indicating whether you've completed the first-play tutorial
- Timestamps used to throttle ad frequency between levels
This data is stored in your device's local storage and is removed when you uninstall the App.
Daily-challenge leaderboard (active): When you complete a daily challenge run, the App submits the following information to our server so your score can appear on the leaderboard:
- A random anonymous identifier (UUID) generated on your device when you first open the App, stored only in your device's local storage. We do not link this identifier to any Apple ID, Google account, email address, IP address, or device fingerprint.
- The display name you choose for the leaderboard (up to 24 characters). This is the only player-controlled string we store.
- Your final score, move count, run duration, the daily date, and the App version number used for plausibility checks.
- A server timestamp recording when the submission was received.
If you reinstall the App, your random identifier is regenerated and your prior leaderboard entries can no longer be linked to you. You may change your display name at any time from Settings → Leaderboard Name.
Cloud save (active): Your game progress (level stars, inventory, coin balance) is mirrored from your device to our server as an opaque save blob, identified by the same random anonymous identifier described above. We do not inspect the contents of this blob. It is used solely to back up your progress for the device that created it; until you sign in (see below), cross-device sync is not available.
Signed-in players (planned, not yet active): If you later choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we will receive a stable anonymous identifier from those providers (never your email or name unless you explicitly grant access). That identifier will allow cross-device cloud save and the option to associate your leaderboard entries with your account.
Crash and error reports: We use Sentry to collect anonymized crash and error reports so we can fix bugs that affect real players. Reports include the type of device, operating system version, and a stack trace of the crash — never your name, email, game progress, or in-game purchases.
Advertising identifiers: Google AdMob serves ads in the App. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, advertising ID on Android) to deliver relevant ads and measure ad performance. On iOS 14.5 and later, the App requests your permission via Apple's "App Tracking Transparency" prompt before any cross-app tracking occurs. You may decline; we will still serve ads, but they will be less personalized. You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or on Android via Settings → Privacy → Ads.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To save your game progress, inventory, and coin balance on your device
- To remember your audio and haptic preferences
- To deliver in-app advertisements through Google AdMob
- To process in-app purchases of coin packs and the optional Remove-Ads upgrade through Apple App Store, Google Play, and our payments partner RevenueCat
- To diagnose and fix crashes via anonymized error reports (Sentry)
- To submit anonymous daily-challenge scores to our leaderboard, and to mirror your progress to our server as a backup, both identified by a random anonymous UUID
- (Future) To enable cross-device save sync via optional Sign in with Apple / Google
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses or plans to integrate the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob (in-game ads) — collects device identifiers, ad interaction data, and limited device info to serve ads. Subject to your iOS App Tracking Transparency choice or Android ads-personalization setting. Google Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat (in-app purchase processing) — processes purchase receipts from Apple App Store and Google Play to manage your entitlements (e.g., coin pack delivery, Remove-Ads). RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Sentry (anonymized crash reporting) — collects crash and error reports to help us fix bugs. Sentry Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store / Google Play — handle the actual payment for any in-app purchase. We never see your payment card details. Apple Privacy Policy · Google Privacy Policy
- Sign in with Apple / Sign in with Google (planned, not yet active) — will be used to authenticate cloud save and leaderboard features in a future update. Apple Privacy Policy · Google Privacy Policy
4. Data Retention
Cloud save data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Local data (guest play) is stored on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmitted between your device and our servers. We do not store payment card information — all purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their security standards.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@kimelogic.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
